The Tekton 41-pc. Ball End Hex and Star L-Key Set includes the most common inch hex, metric hex, and star key sizes, all stored in durable holders with self-aligning key slots that allow keys to be removed and inserted without moving others out of the way. The L-keys are made with 8660 nickel chromium molybdenum steel that's heat-treated to HRC 54-58 to produce tools that are hard, but not brittle. As a result, the maximum torque of the L-keys consistently exceeds the ASME standards for minimum torsion load and the ISO standards for minimum proof torque. The L-keys are coated with a durable manganese phosphate finish that's resistant to corrosion.

The set includes 13-pc. ball end hex L-key wrenches: 0.050, 1/16, 5/64, 3/32, 7/64, 1/8, 9/64, 5/32, 3/16, 7/32, 1/4, 5/16, 3/8 in.; 15-pc. ball end hex L-key wrenches: 1.3, 1.5, 2, 2.5, 3, 3.5, 4, 4.5, 5, 5.5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 mm; and 13-pc. star L-key wrenches: T6, T7, T8, T9, T10, T15, T20, T25, T27, T30, T40, T45, T50. The set also includes a black hex key holder, a red hex key holder, and a gray star key holder.

Tekton has designed these L-keys to be longer in the largest sizes to increase leverage where it matters. The hex key geometry on the large end of the applicable range is precisely manufactured, resulting in less slop in fasteners. The L-keys implement a steep ball-end angle that increases the user's ability to access fasteners while still maintaining sufficient strength.

With the exception of the smallest sizes, Tekton L-key sizes are marked in two ways – both with a high-visibility laser marking and a stamped marking. The smallest sizes, 0.050 inch and 1.3 mm, are too small to laser mark, while the sizes 0.050 inch, 1/16 inch, 5/64 inch, 1.3 mm, 1.5 mm, and 2 mm are too small to stamp.
